For routine check-ups and cleanings, at least one week in advance is recommended. For specialist services (orthodontics, implants), a few weeks may be needed. Emergency cases are seen as quickly as possible — call directly.

Not with modern local anaesthetic. You may feel pressure or vibration but should not feel pain. If you experience discomfort at any point, let us know immediately and we’ll provide more anaesthetic.

With proper care, implants can last a lifetime. The titanium post is extremely durable and fuses with the jawbone. The crown attached to the implant typically lasts 10–25 years before replacement may be needed.

It varies. Minor cases: 6–12 months. More complex cases: 18–36 months. Dr. Angus will provide a personalised treatment plan with an estimated timeline at your orthodontic consultation.

Professional whitening performed under clinical supervision is safe. Some patients experience temporary sensitivity, which typically resolves within a few days. We assess your suitability at a consultation before proceeding.

Dental anxiety is common in children and adults alike. Our team is experienced in working with anxious patients of all ages. We take our time, explain everything clearly, and never rush. Let us know before the appointment so we can prepare.

Yes. Dr. Angus treats children from around ages 7–8 for early interceptive orthodontics, and from ages 12–14 for comprehensive braces once most permanent teeth have erupted. A consultation determines the ideal timing.

Severe toothache disrupting daily life, a knocked-out tooth, cracked or broken tooth causing pain, significant dental abscess or swelling, uncontrolled bleeding, or dental trauma from an accident. When in doubt, call us.

1) Handle by the crown (top), not the root. 2) If dirty, gently rinse with water — don’t scrub. 3) Try to re-insert in the socket, or keep moist in milk or saliva. 4) Call 784-456-2125 immediately. A tooth re-implanted within 30 minutes has the best chance of survival.
